I used to live in Corsica 20 years ago, top North of the Cap Corse, in a very tiny fishing village of 80 inhabitants in winter, and more than 3500 in summer!
U Palmentu was at that time THE only night club in the area. I remember spending evenings there, sometimes as a client, often as a bar tender, witnessing the fun alchemy between 3 generations of men who used to gather with the same objective of getting a glimpse of the girls on the dance floor.
Settled in two huge wine cellars under the terrasse of a restaurant, it now hosts a bar and restaurant. Its owner saw my artwork and asked me to create a few collages to be displayed on walls in the bar.
I was so touched to illustrate this amazing connexion I personnaly witnessed 20 years ago.
